I learned a lot from Nancy McKinstry, CEO of Wolters Kluwer, on the importance

of being comfortable with taking risks while being data driven to identify solutions and drive results. After a leader gathers data, it is important to know how to develop a strategy, effectively communicate a vision so people understand it and are motivated by it.

Seth Godin’s Blog on Distracted by wide funnels This was a great reminder about the need for businesses to consistently produce a large quantity of quality content before they can become a huge hit. After all, it is hard to identify which piece of content will go viral because the internet is an extremely noisy place and consumers are constantly being infiltrated with information and choices. Because this will be a marathon and not a race, businesses need to develop peace with the journey and understand that it will take time to organically develop an audience to capture attention.
