My 'why' is rooted in my family's story.

My parents rebuilt their lives in Canada as refugees, arriving with nothing in their pockets and no roadmap. They stayed curious, figured things out as they went and earned trust through how they showed up, not through a title.

 

Their story taught me that leadership isn't about the position you hold. It's about how you show up when things aren't clear.

 

My squiggly-line career reinforced that lesson.

Early in my career, being a generalist in a world that rewarded specialists sparked a deep curiosity about how people, business and systems connect.

 

I learned to walk into unfamiliar rooms, listen, understand the context, figure out what matters and connect the dots.

I learned to zoom out to see the bigger picture, then zoom in to figure out what needs to happen next

​

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) and golf keep reminding me not to force the answer.

Both have taught me that you can have a plan and still end up somewhere you didn't expect so you have choice of how you quickly adapt.

BJJ taught me to stay calm under pressure, identify the gap and adapt rather than force my way through it.

 

Golf keeps teaching me to quickly reset, stay patient and let go of the perfect outcome.

 

By connecting the dots across the different areas of my life, I’ve learned that leadership lessons are everywhere.
